An entire steak dinner with cannabis. Talk about an elevated experience!

So, I did this several months ago. I was left alone with cannabis and steak. And all kinds of shenanigans occurred. It was definitely a great evening.

In February of this year, my older son was graduating from a course with the Army, and in the same week, my younger son’s wife was having a baby. Husband went to graduation, I stayed on grand baby patrol.

Deciding to treat myself, I purchased myself a steak, mushrooms and onions, and the fixings for a salad. And everything was infused.

We started out with salad. And we’ve previously made a balsamic vinaigrette. You can find that recipe Here.

Then, let’s talk about our steak. What you see in this clip is me massaging the steak with some infused MCT oil. And yes, I’m using my bare hands. Don’t @ me! I was cooking for myself. No one else was eating with me.

I then covered the steak in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and then I stuck a bunch of freshly sliced garlic cloves to sauté it with.

I then added CannaBudder and MCT oil to a hot pain. The reason I used the MCT oil is to raise the smoking point of the butter, so I would not end up with totally burnt cannabudder, which has a really awful taste.

To reverse sear the steak, I got my pan nice and hot, added in my shallots and garlic, oil and budder, and then I gave the steak a nice sear on all sides. It’s very important to get all sides, otherwise your steak is going to lack a lot of flavor. When you sear a steak, you’re sealing in the flavors and the juices. Once properly seared, I put it on a broiler pan, and put it in the oven @ 350 for about 20 minutes. I checked on it, constantly, to make sure it was done to my taste. I highly recommend you use a meat thermometer to get your steak to the exact temp. Once the steak was ready, I took it out of the oven, set it aside to rest,and then I began to put together my onions and mushrooms.

That’s really easy — I hope I don’t have to tell anyone exactly how to do that.

Finally, I assembled my dinner. Infused steak, infused salad dressing, infused onions and mushrooms, and I even had some of the balsamic vinaigrette left over to dip my bread into.
